You can use a boost but you can also easily not use it. Though another tip for this particular room is to keep yourself looking at the Gold Watchers direction, waiting to hear the sound cues of the traps then quickly collecting the shards 1 trap at a time.

Stun orbs are useful to collect shards from a room where there are 4 lots of 4 shards on top of spike traps (the shards themselves are not on the spike traps).

There are 3 secrets in the manor one is a secret room which will stop the Gold Watchers moving and they cannot get into the room whilst you remain inside.

Boosting is best avoided here unless you have a long corridor with no traps or can time using it to avoid traps.

It is possible for you to maintain distance from them by running away from them at normal speed (not boosting).

There are 4 Gold Watchers active during this part of the level and they will actively try to cut ahead of you.

It’ll be in between two sets of spike traps and will be required to open up the gates on the other side of the second floor.

Once you pull either lever on the second floor, you’ll need to pull another lever further in the stage.

With that in mind, here are tips for the Manor: You will complete it, it may just take a bit of time and patience. The Manor is the most difficult part of the whole Deadly Decadence level so don’t feel disheartened if it takes a lot of attempts to complete it.

Once all the shards are collected, the Gold Watchers in the hedge maze will disappear allowing you to casually and safely travel through the maze (and past the traps) to get to the Manor.

This will allow you to easily and comfortably collect the shards whilst also keeping your direction towards the Gold Watchers.

Start collecting shards on one side of the maze first then the other side.

There is no rush, taking your time is the best way to avoid unnecessary deaths to traps. If in doubt wait a little while to allow you to distinguish between the sound cues. You’ll know when the reset as there is a distinct metallic click before the spikes are raised. After the clang of the spikes going up, there are a few seconds in which you can run over them before they get reset. NOTE: The Gold Watchers will be locked in place without the need for direct line of sight as long as you’re looking in their overall direction. This will allow you to move around the maze whilst staring in their direction to keep them locked in place.

Ideally, if you can, allow the 2 Gold Watchers in the maze to be near you (preferably in front of you, so try to move so they can be in front of you).

There is also a secret room used to create the Gold Watchers, a large and tilted cauldron can be find inside, the said cauldron seems to contain molten gold and is surrounded by unfinished statues. In the heart of the Manor there are stairs leading to the lobby, and leading to the Ring Altar. In one roundabout room there are two large stone statues of the Watchers holding axes. Inside the Manor itself are multiple turns and corners with large corridors and rooms filled with traps such as the spikes, and pendulums. In the hedge maze are the Gold Watchers, lifeless Watchers, spike traps, and more signs saying ' You paid no heed, now you shall bleed'. In the gate to the maze has two more signs saying ' Tread no further, we are watching'. Upon entering the backyard to the maze has a smaller statue saluting, which later disappears. In the inside of the gates are stone walls with writing on them.

In front of the gates is a water fountain, and a large Watcher statue a sign below it reading, ' Beyond these gates, judgment awaits'. Before the manor, the player starts outside.
